Darren Lee has spent more than a decade in corporate and managing businesses. While at corporate, he was managing teams and helped in building content for an array of media platforms such as satellite television, radio and Internet media.

While managing businesses, Lee successfully raised VC funding, launched products in Silicon Valley, recruited prominent brands as customers and even played a vital role in receiving an acquisition term sheet from a publicly-listed company.

He spearheaded projects that are mentioned on TechCrunch, CNET, VentureBeat, WSJ and more. Lee is passionate in disruptive technology, social media, venture capital, economics and business. He loves conversations. His award winning projects brought his team half-way across the world from Geneva to the Philippines. Lee holds a BSc (Hons) Degree in Computing, majoring in Internet Technology.

He is currently based in Asia where he can easily travel between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, though he still travels to the valley community based in San Francisco at events such as TechCrunch50.

Some of his prominent roles in notable projects include representing his firm at the UNGAID Youth and ICT Forum in Switzerland as well as collaborating with UNICEF to launch a web-portal aimed at urban youth.

During his tenure with Astro, Lee led the content development team for Xfresh, a youth brand initiated by AMP Radio Networks. Back then, Xfresh had multiple media platforms such as Xfresh Online (the social website), Xfresh FM (radio), Xfresh TV (a review show on Astro), Xfresh Street Surfers and Xfresh Mobile. During his time at Xfresh, Lee was assisted and advocated contacts and branding initiatives to deliver high impact results for the Xfresh Group.

Darren Lee also contributed by using his expertise to aid a digital media company involving new media projects that handles Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) business and mobile applications.
